Year of Manufacture: 2002
Customer attempted to wind window down during the freezing weather and broke it.
Regulator faulty. Replaced with new Audi Regulator, which felt slightly tight?, but I lubricated it before fitting.
Window now goes up to 1/4 or 1/2 way, and then back down, most of the time (although intermittently works properly) when using automatic switch.
However, when using the increments option, it will rise and fall fully.
I am aware Window has an anti-pinch Sensor which detects resistance on window and takes the window back down.
Has anybody experienced a fault with the anti-pinch sensor, within the motor?
Also, anyone purchased a faulty Regulator? Dealer tells me, they either work or they don't work. i.e. he doubts a faulty (replacement) regulator would present with the fault this one has.
I have done all the resets.
The customer cannot recall the last time he used the window (passenger side), other than to drop it a few inches occasionally, which doesn't help matters as I now cannot be sure it has ever functioned properly.
Hi Ian, I assume this is a genuine regulator. Have you tried the "auto reaet" by getting the window to the top and holding the switch up for 5 seconds then getting it down and holding the switch down for 5 seconds. Have you scanned the door modules? Regards Steve Harvey
