BMW - Online service recording #

is it possable to do bmw online service recording ?

i have spoken to my local bmw service dept and the service person said No!

was he correct ??

Morning gents,

BMW online service record ..... does the above proceedure / link allow the update of the car's onscreen record ?

2013 320d m sport, BMW tell me this can only be done by dealers via key reader & Germany ?

Any advise appreciated.

No, The on screen record requires access to BMW ISTA, (which you are quite entitled to get)-at a cost. It does require access via Germany but not via a dealer,key reader or magic wand.
My understanding is that if you update the online service record and print it off for the customer, that should keep most happy. The next time they go to a dealer and they access ISTA that service info will then be downloaded to the car and brought up to date.

We have ISTA and bmw key reader. yes you can access it and register without having ista diagnostic tool. the only thing is unless you reset the service light etc using ISTA tool it wont record it on the cars display which to be fair most customers arent bothered about. in all fairness the genuine bmw tool is only £500 to buy
I bought the bmw key reader which i thought you needed to transfer data to car. not the case the key reader purely reads service data from key. to key data onto car you need to do reset with ISTA dealer tool

Where did you purchase your ista ? Through a dealer or direct with BMW.

Cant see it listed within AOS .

I got it from ALEX GILBANKS its genuine bmw and jis back up support is superb. the key reader i got from bmw buying it thinking it was required to transfer data to the key. that was a waste of money.
