Land Rover 2.4 2011 - Clutch problem when hot #
Posted by Alwyn James on October 24, 2014, 7:05 pm Hi all,i wonder if anyone can give guidance on this odd clutch fault. This is a farmers vehicle and when towing a heavy load it looses clutch pressure,as in there is slight pressure near bottom of travel, apparently you can still select gears when this happens.Either pump the pedal or stop for a few minutes and full pedal pressure returns. This only happens when towing a heavy load, with no trailer connected everything is fine. The first time it happened i changed the fluid as it was black in colour, the next time it happened i renewed the master cylinder.I can have the vehicle in the workshop and everything is normal.Don't really want to take gearbox out without really knowing what i'm looking for.Anybody come across something similar before or have any thoughts?
