Peugeot 207 1.6D 2006 - ESP fault, C1302 brake pressure sensor #

Posted by George Ambelas on February 5, 2014, 9:23 pm

Year of Manufacture *: 2007

hi everyone I have this coming in a few days.
I scanned it before and it has this esp fault and no pressure is showing in live data when pedal is pressed. it's the well known mk60 esp
with the pressure sensor in the unit I plan to send the pump to actronics to replace it for me
has anybody done this and does it need readapting?
if so how is it done? I have superscan2 but I can't see this in special functions

Hi

If you get the same (your own) unit back, should not need any adapting.

It Will need valve block activating via scanner to correctly bleed.

Have you spoke to the dealer to see if repair unit (like VAG do ) is available ?

Cheers Aidan

Have you priced a new unit?I have found recently that with some makers this can work out cheaper than re-man.The pressure sensor is in the hydraulic part.

Hello,
Its the same unit as the VW/BMW/FORD.
Actronics repair for 105 plus vat or i believe they are, 150 ish dealers.
Its just plug and play as its only the metal valve
block you will change not the ecu

hi all and thanks for your comments. Peugeot does't supply the hydrolic bit and they want about £1.000 for the complete unit. if I could get the part from ford or vw for about £150 I would prefer it rather than have the car here for a few days, but can it be done? I am sure they will want to know reg. or chassis number has anybody done it?

Its a safety critical component, can you GUARANTEE that it is EXACTLY the same unit across all those vehicles?

How would a court of law feel about you fitting a safety critical component from another manufacturer should it fail and some lawyer finds out that bit was designed for a different vehicle?

Just my thoughts.

Mark

May be too late now but I have used BBA before. You give them the number off the unit and they send you a repaired valve block. Fit to vehicle and then send them back the faulty part. Saves taking the vehicle off the road.
Bryan.
