Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 2005 - Code P1482 Fan relay 2 circuit - Fixed #

Hi

Engine warning light on (spanner through car symbol) coming up with code P1482 fan relay 2 circuit.vehicle been unused for couple of months just enquiring if this is a known problem with a component.

Check to see if it has a front fan (behind bumper for a/c condensor) and check if its seized or if the buper re-inforcer has been pushed up against it.

If the car has a/c,it will have one fan but three speeds.These are ecu controlled from the 3 green relays in the fusebox.Pin out the earth switching wires back to the ecu to verify the wiring.Looked at one of these last week for similar issue and confirmed ecu fault.Customer decided to leave it as the cost was not an economic proposition.The car did not overheat and the a/c worked fine.All that was lost was one fan speed and of course the spanner light was on.

andy do you mean engine ecu or has it its own ecu if so where is it positioned,am back at work next Monday so will report back.

fixed.
checked wiring discovered break in white/brown cable due to green corrosion in loom going to ecu as andy suggested.resoldered and erased fault code spanner symbol now unlit.nb this version only had 2 green relays.thanks for help
