If the car has a/c,it will have one fan but three speeds.These are ecu controlled from the 3 green relays in the fusebox.Pin out the earth switching wires back to the ecu to verify the wiring.Looked at one of these last week for similar issue and confirmed ecu fault.Customer decided to leave it as the cost was not an economic proposition.The car did not overheat and the a/c worked fine.All that was lost was one fan speed and of course the spanner light was on.
