Peugeot 206 sw 2002 - Rear axle bearings and inner stubs, how do I remove inner stubs? #

Year of Manufacture *: 2002

Right have a peugeot 206 sw with rear radius arm bearings collapsed. the inner stub the bearings run on are also worn away and badly corroded so I have stripped axle and being the sw model no reconditioners have exchange units in stock.
Having dug about I have found someone that can supply the rear inner stub pins but I need to know how to remove the old ones. I'm guessing the axle mounts will press off the axle tube but how and is this something I should be attempting or does anyone know of anyone in the north west chester north wales area that might remove and replace the pins for me and possibly be able to supply the pins?

I really don't want the car stuck on my ramp for a week with no rear axle while I wait for someone else to refurb it for me!!

I thought they were welded in place

But hopefully wrong.

Dave,

We replaced rear axle on a 2004 sw 2 weeks ago, supplied by IM Axles ( 01949 869600 )

Not the cheapest but good quality / guaranteed and available, they got our old unit back last Friday.

Used them twice after recommendation from this forum and more than satisfied, give them a call they may be able to help.

I agree worth a call to Ian at IM axles, He is just up the road from us and I have known him for many years.

we ahve fitted a few of these now without any problems
