Hi all,

Has anyone got any info on the Toyota MMT control system?

I took a look at one earlier today. It has had the clutch changed. I am told it was ok before the clutch job except the clutch was slipping.
After the clutch was fitted it had no drive and crunched when attempting to select reverse.

I went into it as a C1 with Lexia and reset the adaptions. Now it gets the gears but will not rev.

I am aware that the clutch positions should have been set before dismantling, and they were not. What effect this would have I don't know.

Looking at the parameters, it showed clutch disengagement as not learned. Possibly it still has a mechanical or an actuator problem.

At this stage I left it and its being recovered to me later today or tomorrow. I am assuming at this stage that its not revving because of a bad feed back signal from the trans. Probably the clutvh position wrong.

Can anyone point me in the direction of info on the MMT system?
Anyone know under what circumstances it will not rev?

TIA

Hi Alan-had one of these ages ago (so forgive my memory).Local place did clutch, I'm sure symptoms were same as yours....we pulled in a favour from a toyo tech who told me the clutch actuator needed to be stopped with the tester before the clutch job, then reinitialised after. (sounds like u know this already) he re did ours-job done!
if I can get hold of him I can ask if theres a manual method, but i seem to remember him saying it was diag tool only......will do some hunting tomorrow

Alan and Ian.
There is a manual method, bridgeing two pin,s on diag. socket and using the brake pedal etc.
I am having problem,s sending Alan the info. at the moment, so will try again in the morning.

Sorry if your e.mail box is now FULL

Kev.

Thanks Lads,

I have the manual reset procedure from Kevin. Crazy set up, but what can you do? I will give it a go shortly and post more detail then.

Using the Lexia, because it is the same as a C1, I thought it should work. It does run through the procedure and swaps gears etc but looking at the procedure Kevin sent it was not in the correct position to work and could not be without some mechanical setting first.

more later.

Kevin, I have a mail server that you would never manage to fill, send as much info as you want to the address I gave you (not the one I use here to avoid spam)

Glad info is now with you (I wouldn't mind it as my toyo friend has heard of manual reset, but obviously uses it2)

Having trouble with same model.Clutch was worn so one of the lads here took out box and fitted new clutch.Did not know about setting up before removing box and now car will not crank or select gears.Where is best place to get info on setting up?

Liam.

More details please, as it is unlikely to be the cluch set-up if it will not crank. What does the gear selector in dash show.
Have you code read the MMT ?

Kev.

Hi guys

Any chance you can post the reset info so we can all have it?

Regards

Simon

Simon

Info has Toyota logo,s etc all over it, so is copy written.
Posting here could put UKAT in a awkward place.

It is available from Toyota-info or your local dealer if you are on good terms with them, thats how i got it.
