Peugeot 207 1.6 HDi 2007 - ESP fault, code c1302 brake pressure sensor #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.6 hdi

Hi

ESP warning light on the dash. The car drive's well and brakes are ok the scan in the abs showed c1302 brake pressure sensor. In the live data it shows 0 bar when brake is pressed.

Is sensor internal? has anybody dealt with this before?

Have you rang Pug to see if a reapir kit is available? Goodwill available?
I only have experience of the MK60 Teves unit on VAG.
VAG supply a new modulator with pressure sensor which bolts to the ECU - easy job to do parts around the £170 mark.
The MK60 is a fundamentally flawed piece of kit fitted to a wide range of manufacturers vehicles - thay all deal with it in a different way.
VAG support goodwill claims on these & just charge the labour for diagnosis & repair if the car meets certain criteria.

If all else fails - Actronics repair these to a good standard, we used them for repairs prior to the VAG repair kit becoming available.

We had around 3 x done with Actronics prior to the VAG manufacturers repair being put on the market.
Earliest about 18 months ago - still working.

Incidentally, unlike some ECU reman companies - Actronics don't charge for testing if they can't repair it & they don't hold your ECU to ransom until you send them the money - give them a call & they'll let you know if they can sort it & what turnaround you can expect on it.

I'm not on comission when I say - they are a good company to deal with - honest & fair.

Since we bought our Autologic we don't bother with reman units any more - we just fit new, it's a 100% fix every time. Suffice to say we no longer use any ECU testing / remanufacturer.

will agree with ACtronics we have had a VW & Honda unit done last year, looks a good repair, both still (charge £169 +carrage) OK.

If you go that rout, just warn customer of time, these are shipped abroad for repair so turn round is not that fast.

customer will be without car for about 2 weeks if things go to plan.

The Honda one we had a problem on fitting, which was fixed by them OK but took longer, even so was worth the wait as honda dealer had quoted £1400 for unit + vat + fit

Hi George

I cannot remember the details exactly but we had a 56 plate 307 in a while back with a pedal pressure or position fault and it turned out to be the pedal switch fault.The new switch came complete with a modified loom section.I may be barking up the wrong tree but felt it worth a post.

I have configured one of these on a 207 for another garage that fitted it. I used peugeot planet and could not find the engine code listed, So i did not go any further in case I got it wrong and it might have been one time configurable, I updated planet to the latest version in case mine was just outdated and the engine still wasn't listed.

I then used a KTS which had the correct engine listed. ???? The Car then had to drive a few yards before the warning light went out.

I then went back in with Planet to check the configuration and it had one of the other engine codes logged into it.

So, Either Peugeot have a different code name for the engine that they know cross refers, or Bosch know that when a certain engine is listed it can be programmed as different one. ??

Anybody else confused yet. ??
