Audi TT BAM 2000 - Gasket change between manifold and turbo - Fixed #

Hi

I have got to change the gasket between the exhaust manifold and turbo which is blowing any one done one before it looks like a nightmare book time to remove turbo if i have to is 7.5 hours ?

If this is your first time you would most likely be best quoting 11 hours. Oil feed pipe should be replaced due to the sludge issues with this unit.
Unfortunately the oil feed pipe is a nasty item to replace - take a photo of it's routing before you remove it, the one you receive from TPS will most likely be bent out of shape to make it fit a bin location.

Hi
Dont take the turbo off !!!
Undo the 3 bolts holing the turbo to the manifold ease it down slighty. take out old gasket, quick clean with some sandpaper/wet & dry in the gap. Slide in new gasket line up & do up bolts.
Over the years probably done about 15 this way, never had an exhaust blow yet or a come back on one.
Should take less than 3 hours.
