Renault Megane 1.6 2004 - Throttle body adaption #

( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1600

When new Throttle Body is fitted, do adaptions have to be set up with Renault Clip, or does it relearn while driving?

Are these Throttle Bodies generally problematic? Vehicle stalls from cold and has very uneven idle at 1200 revs.

2 faults in ECU: Camshaft Sensor and Speed Sensor.

Have gone through lots of checks.

Any feedback appreciated.

Hi Ian,
is there a rattle from the engine from cold?(possible dephaser fault) is the ECM software up to date?

I agree with Andy very common fault although had the the de-phaser (Variable valve timing unit) not give any rattles and still was faulty, usually logs a problem with the cam sensor being out of phase due to in-correct valve timing (I'd scope the crank sensor though as these can be problematic; and there is a wiring upgrade for that sensor as well). It's a timing belt job plus dephaser pulley to remedy.

Vehicle has gone to dealer to be dealt with under warranty. I will let you know the outcome.
