Mercedes Benz 500 SEL 1999 - Flat battery, unable to open boot #

Year of Manufacture *: 1999

Customer arrived back from 3 weeks in Monaco and battery is stone dead !

Opened d/door with emergency key, battery is in the boot which should but wont open with emergency key !!!!!

No jump lead connections under bonnet, tried powering up through ciggy lighter with battery pack to no avail.

Obviously I need to get the boot open any ideas would be welcome.

A few options here.Power up one of the large fuses in o/s engine bay fuse box.Power onto alternator main terminal,or power to c/d/lock fuse under rear seat,drive side.As for boot lock seized,nothing unusual here.if it will free off you have had a result,otherwise its a lock set for around £300 which is boot lock,driver door lock and a glove box lock.Absolute bargain.!!

Thanks Andy

When I got back to it today the customer had got the boot open by fiddling with the emergency key.

My booster pack is not man enough to start it so I have left my battery charger on it overnight and see what happens in the morning.

Car is backed into an alley way, jump leads not long enough, can't get it out of park to push it AAAARRRRGH !
