thanks for all replies lads. turns out that this totally reliable car ( you know the kind, customer says never been any trouble , had from new , so i must have damaged it) had a new fuel pump fitted by dealer 2 years ago, had to be towed in cos would not start.customer contacted dealer, told was out of warranty , so got me to fit new pump , and hey presto car runs fine. told customer to take up complaint with dealer cos we dont make the parts, we diagnose the fault and fit the parts as supplied . our job would be so muh easier without customers and suppliers. ( hey ho rant over ) once again thanks.
