Mercedes A Class (168) 1400cc - Replacing starter motor Archived Message

Good evening gents
Tried to look in archives ( server problem ) i know i have read about what a nice job it is to renew the starter motor on an A class.
Mercedes have quoted four hours labour plus the starter motor, has anyone fitted one in that time?
Also is there a relay between the ignition switch & starter? as i am not 100% convinced the starter is at fault. A wiring diagram would be very useful.
