Hi Ken, As John said, are you sure the power to the coil is OK under load? See the archive link below. Also:On your vehicle (should be TA chassis on 96), so you can just buy the little link lead & plug in. For your ref: vehicles from TA501920 have a spider, the bypass lead is: AMR4956 £2.38+vat. Vehicles from VA534104 need the lead with extra to show signal back to alarm ecu,: AMR4965 £96.00+vat. spider is behind the radio, (hands cut/bleeding job), you are supposed to take centre facia out, but can just do through radio hole. the unit has a ten way plug, all black wires. Usually the spider units can be taken out, the dry joints re-soldered & then refitted. (best option). To bypass without special lead, or to bypass just one circuit, join wires together as needed below: Pull plug off, look at it with wires pointing away from you & the clip on the RH side. pin connections are : ++++++++++++++++++++++ + 2 + 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 + ++++++++++++++++++++++ + 1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 9 + ++++++++++++++++++++++ Join pins 2 & 3 for fuel pump. Join pins 6 & 10 for starter Join pins 4 & 8 for ignition coil After that, leave remaining wires alone & plug back into spider to keep alarm happy Regards Steve
