We have done loads of these for the same problem the reluctor rings crack making the sensor think the wheel has stopped because of the extra big gap.
It only appears to be the original fitment joints that suffer the problem as all those that have been replaced with AMK joints have been fitted for a few years now and don't eseem to be suffering from any rust at all.
