Rover 420 D. bosch 5.3 ABS - ABS comes in when braking to a halt Archived Message

Hi, got a rover 420D 1999 with bosch 5.3 abs.
problem is when the car just about comes to a stop the ABS kicks in, you can feel it on the foot pedal and hear what i assume is the solonoids operating. I've not had much to do with ABS but I have cheked for fault codes, none recorded, carried out pin data tests everything showing ok except two of the speed sensors which were 1k ohms and two at 1.6k ohms, autodata specify 1.7k so it looks like the two low ones are at fault. I dont want to replace these incase it doesn't cure the problem, normaly a fault code will exist if it's a faulty sesnor.

Has anyone had this problem before?

    Chris
