Hi Mike. Have you checked the connections in the oval plug near the pump, and the wiring across the front panel where it goes over the air intake pipe, ?? it usually rubs and shorts out somwhere across the front panel.
Otherwise you can remove it by bypassing the starter relay and removing the immobiliser pack off the back of the pump and putting the ignition feed straight to the stop solenoid.
