Ford Escort Van 1.8 D 1997 - Immobilizer fault Archived Message

Posted by Mike G on November 9, 2004, 1:51 am

Guys.... Im stressed !! Ive spent a good couple of hours trawling the archs. and have found lots of good info on the pats system as I have on this ere van but what Im after here is a way of bypassing the immobiliser altogether (customers suggestion!) Im note even sure where the ecu etc is on this.
Alternativly... could it be a simple fault like the key receiver on the barrel?? Question on this one... If you buy a new or s/h unit (receiver - ariel or whatever they are called) Will they work straight away - ie, no programming to do????

The symptons are: No start - crank or anything.. light by clock flashing rapid and then going into Code 32.

Any help would really be appreciated . Thank you.. Oh btw,,, this van does Not have CDL.

    Cheers
    Mike
