Hi Paul,
Had this problem before on Clio's, 306's, 406's & Xsara's.
Everyone has been the plug under the seat. Usually it gets knocked by luggage & just needs clean & reconnecting.
Tried without luck an expensive "Stabilant 22A"
electrical contact enhancer to improve connection but have found on some cars the only fix is to cut plugs off & fit better plugs.
