After start up at first touch of brake pedal the EPS lamp illuminates. Reading codes on ESP module reveals 1 code: C1201/A7/7S1(BAS Release Switch)
On clearing code it returned at next press of brake pedal. I am aware of a common brake switch problem on this and other models of Merc but a new switch was fitted before I looked at this one. Usually it has a code for brake lamp switch too.
I think this car isnt actually fitted with BAS as I cant comm with BAS controller but I could be wrong!
Does anyone know exactly what this code refers to and where is it fitted? is it integral with brake lamp switch? Any wiring info on said switch would be useful too.
