Just trying to work out the auto shift illumination light on this vehicle. Seems that all lights off and ignition switch on gives bright light to the selectable positions on each side of the shift with a bright red indicator illuminating the gear selected.(seems right) On switching on the side lights the red indicator goes out completely and the selectable positions are illuminated dimly.(doesn't look right to me) Ignition off and key removed leaves a dim light on the red light indicator but only in Park and Neutral. Question is why doesn't the actual red light showing gear selected stay illuminated when the side lights are on? Hope someone can make sense of this!! Cheers Clive
