Hopefully this will ring a bell with somebody;
Driving along suddenly all dash functions fail, no mileage counter, no hazard lights, heated rear screen etc. Speedo stuck on 40 mph, rev counter stuck on 2000.
Car still runs until you switch off ignition (car has keyless entry if significant) then you cant switch it back on. Hence no codes/data available.
Have disconnected battery for an hour - reconnected - still the same.
I am presuming it is the instrument panel itself. I have disconnected panel and reconnected and connections look good. Any info would be greatly appreciated (wifes car!)
