Seat Altea 1.9 TDi BJB 2005 - One brake light staying on all the time #Archived Message

Hi lads, I have the above with one brake light staying on at all times,i have battery voltage to the holder at all times,key out of ignition. I have one fault code 00988,i have checked fuses and brake light switch and all OK. Anyone come across this or have any ideas before start i pulling it apart, Thanks.
