    Hi Terry,
I am in the lucky position of not having to advertise anywhere at the moment, except free local directories. In my first few years I found the best response was from leaflets. They cost next to nothing and instead of putting them through front doors I had them put under wipers at the local supermarket. This way you can get about a 100 out in 10 minutes and guaranteed to target the right people. For every 100 I put out I had 2 or 3 responses. It was so succesful that if I did it now I could not cope with the extra work. The down side was upsetting Safeway's, especially as we also sold petrol at that time lol. As far as fleet work is concerned, I don't go there. I had a dabble with a local cab firm and they expect you to drop what you are doing for them, do the job for next to nothing and wait until they decide to pay you. The other problem is that if you do fall out, or they go tits up, you lose a big chunk of work at a stroke. If you are reliable, do a good job and communicate with your customers, they will come back even if something does go wrong. Having said that, we all know some people can never be pleased so let them go elsewhere.
    Best Wishes, Bryan.
