Paul, Could it be that you need to have the MEMs ECU set into free running mode by someone who can chip it and then before refiting it, cut the wire to the security ECU. MEMs ECU will be happy to run in this mode so long as it never sees a coded signal from the security ECU and you can then power that side of things down by removing the fuses. I'm sure someone will step in an correct me as I'm no Rover expert as some of you will know.... Regards Sean
