Hi people could do with a little bit of help, I brought a 52plated VW POLO with front end damage not a lot but enough to deploy dash and wheel airbag. So I brought a donor car which has had the roof cut off for the front end bits and airbags. I've changed the dash and wheel bags and both seat belt tensioner but when I came to the module I have found that they were different the plugs were different(unbers on the units are at the bottom). I fault code read it and cleared the codes but I cant switch the airbag light out (which I'm not surprised but you do try these things hoping it would work). I'm guessing the module needs read coding to the new airbags, I have a MT2500 and in expert mode it does say something about read coding but I dont know how to use this function and as I always say "a little knowledge is dangerous" so I dont want to try anything and cause myself anymore work.
