VW Passat 2.0 TDi PD ACT 2002 - Loss of power # Archived Message

Had this passat in recently for loss of power after 3000rpm turned out to be a blocked air mass sensor, which by the way gave a perfect waveform!!?? But when looking for the fault, after pulling a code for Tc wastegate negative deviation? Found a couple of results I wasn't expecing from the egr solenoid and the wastegate actuator just wondered if anyone would be able to shed some light who knew the specific system better? I was surprised by the egr solenoid because at idle it was being actuated and I was under the impression that it only ever did under load?? The total cycle time was 4.04ms and the on time during this was 2.68ms. The wastegate was also being actuated but with a smaller on time but unfortunately I've left the details of the dwell period at work but will put them up. But even autodata stated that it should be off until Wide Open Throttle where it should switch on briefly. Any info on the subject would be great. If I've missed any vital info I do apologize just let me know. Cheers
