Learning all the time!!! Was aware that modern engines were running higher comp ratios but never actually bothered to look at figures. CR for this motor is 11.5!Therefore cylinder pressures are 7 to 21 bar(or just over 300psi). Cylinder 2 was the only healthy pot.On investigation 1,3 and 4 all had burnt exaust valve seats/cracked valve heads and well worn valve guides(On a genuine 25k motor!). Thing is,although the three pots were making 175 on a comp test,they all failed a leakage test(Down to 20%).
