I am the proud owner of an ex-AA T4 Transporter, which as well as being the works van (when needed)is being converted to the usual day van and Grand Tourer.
The next addition will be cruise control and I have some information suggesting that it is a fairly straightforward mod using a dealer supplied kit and Vag-Com programming.
However, I do not see why I cannot make a separate switch pod to do the job at minimal cost.
My current Autodata does not give the pin data for the ECM, only a wiring diagram which gives ECU pin numbers used as 34 (blue wire), 35 (red/yellow) and 66 (black). If this is accurate then I suppose that the switch pod also needs a power and/or earth.
I assume (that dodgy word again!) that the pins provide on/off, set & resume functions and , as far as I can see there is no accel/decel facility.
Does anyone have specific information on the function of these pins and whether they are powered or earthed please?
