Hi Jamie If you have a screech then there is a problem. Do you have any stored fault codes in th EPB module? You may if no stored /terminal faults fix this by correctly setting up the brake adjustment. To do this we put the brake into mounting position ( this as far as i know can only succesfully be done with diagnostic system ), then adjust shoes untill the torque needed to turn halfshaft nut is between 40 & 90 Nm turning forward, back off adjuster 8 clicks undo wedge adjuster , tap around disc with soft hammer, tighten wedge adjuster to 6Nm, take vehicle out of mounting position. we have succesfully cured a screecher by cleaning & correctly adjusting the shoes - as Steve says prolonged screeching will cause damage to the shoes/discs & possibly the EPB module as well.
