Hi Tony, i used the old fashioned method when i first tested the car, drove and charged fine with the amps dropping as battery topped up after the starter motors natural drain.stop the car and lock it and i get a discharge of -01.6amps for approx 30 secs to a minute, i believe this is the "sleep mode". then no discharge.Might get two days or a week of fine running then flat, at worst the car only lasted two hours after being driven, so i removed the alternator and had it checked by our Auto Electric firm,every thing fine there, they haven't had a car be so inconsistent with this fault and neither have i. Going to check battery gravity, will keep you posted. Many thanks Stephen
