Any luck with this one Ivor? Fitted a new receiver to one on Friday for a battery going flat problem. Just for the sake of it with an ammeter on the battery cable I let it go to sleep, standing about 10 feet away I operated a plip for a Renault Scenic (RF not infrared )I had and Bingo the BeCM woke up for 1 min, let it go to sleep again, plip and it woke up again! After fitting the new receiver it would no longer do this. For some crazy reason these receivers are not marked in any useful way but all the old ones I have removed have a Blue dot on them and the new ones have a green dot.If you pop the unit open the new ones have a circuit board standing up from the main one, the old ones don't. I know that unplugging the antenna deafens them a bit and reduces the problem but I think the new ones check that the code received is at least a Landrover code before bothering the BeCM with it.
