Ford Focus 1.6 16v 2000 - Replaced water pump, not over heating after couple days # Archived Message

we have ford focus which came to us with water pump leaking.
replaced the water pump. within two days of return to customer the vehicle is back with over heating problems.
    However its not overheating !
The head temp sensor keeps detecting an over heat the gauge goes up then car drop into limp mode.we have replace the t stat. and temp sensor and check wiring all ok.
however on monitor with temp prob the head temp sensor socket temp raises at times to 120 deg c for a few sec then drops up and down.
but all other areas of head stay around 90 deg c.
Any one had this problem before as im about to pull the head off thinking somehow the head is blocked in a water way somhow at that point.
    regards
    daz
