The "Second" thing that I would do in that case is to go into programming, change the chassis no to the correct one, check all programming options and make sure that they are all feasible for that vehicle. Then clear fault codes and see what happens when you know that it is programmed correctly. The First thing I would do is make sure that the customer is prepared to spend several hundred pounds replacing any components that you eventually find require replacing, or any that might fail during a reprogramming session. ( hopefully none, but you don't want to end up in the position where it won't start after reprogramming and locks up and refuses to re-program again and the customer at that point blames you as the vehicle was running ok when he brought it in ) Take into account that a CIM Module is around £244.00 + vat and other ecu's are even more. Have you already tried clearing codes and these have come back or are they all just historic codes that need clearing. ?? How Important is Cruise control to him. ?? H.T.H. Tony.
