Depending on the year of the vehicle you can just unplug the immobiliser which will re-enable the ECU and then trace a pair of wires to the kick panel (sorry can't remember which side but think it's driver's) where the fuel pump feed has a bullet connector where the immobiliser Tee's in, just unplug the immobilisation wires and plug the fuel pump wires back together, red/brown or brown/red from memory, I'm at home now will check colours tomorrow morning. What you need to do is check the feed at this point to see what the problem is before you proceed any further. I have had only a couple of immobiliser faults, and dozens of fusebox faults but as I say, do more tests first. You can reach up behind the dash and detach the immobiliser with a "big pull" to avoid removing the dash if you want to check that for dry joints. Shaun
