A little off topic here but!!! I had a XJ8 last year that had an issue with the parking brake applying inappropriately. It was still in warranty when it came in for service & all we could see & report was that the parking brake cable was routed very tightly behind the rear anti roll bar link (stabiliser link rod). It was conceivable that it could cause an unexpected application of the parking brake as the suspension reach full travel. I made inquiries with Jaguar Service Dept, but as expected….. They just wanted to see the car at their own worhshop. To this day the customer is driving this car with a braking issue! Every time the car goes “light” at the tail end, the parking brake is applied. Anyone else had this experience?
