    That has to be a lamp control module fault. The CC warning light is controlled from the LCM. The brake warning is too, but could be a real fault, very common. The Temp gauge will go full hot on an uncoded cluster and one with a software error.
    It could be worth while trying to update the software on both the cluster and the LCM. If you unplug the LCM and the CC warning goes out it would nearly prove it.

    I have seen a fair few E46’s with damage after jump starting. Very often the LCM, IKE and EGS are effected. Maybe LCM and IKE in this case?
