    Hi Panos, you will need to fill in a VT01 form, it can be downloaded from the VOSA website vosa.gov.uk You need to tick NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES TO AN APPROVED VTS, then complete;

    SECTION A1 (tick the box)
    A2 (your AE Number)
    A8 (signature)
    SECTION C (you will need enclosures such as proof you own the premises deeds, lease agreement etc, evidence of planning permision, a plan of the equipment and a site plan.

    Once you have this info you need to get it to your local VOSA office (I normally take them by hand and deliver).

    The local VOSA guy will either visit or tell you to go ahead as long as it is done to the plan (depending on region).

    You then receive an Approval In Principle letter which is valid for 6 months. You can then get on and get the equipment fitted. The engineer installing the equipment or the rep that sold it to you will normally show you how to use it.

    Once fitted you then call VOSA and they send someone out to check the equipment and usually watch a nominated tester complete a 2 man test (yes 2 man!) then you are operational as a one man test bay. You will need a brake pedal depressor, some convex mirrors and you can then test with just one man.

    I hope this helps and feel free to ask if I have missed anything.

    Paul
