Can anyone advise on checking the volt drop on an Ignition Amplifier?
Test book says to check from coil-negative terminal, with engine running. Voltage should not exceed 2 volts.
I used my Volt Meter to test the min and max readings. Max was approx 14 volts, min 1 volt.
When the coil is switched off, is this when the min 1 volt is obtained?
Am I correct in the way I have carried out this test?
Not sure if my new Pico Scope will do this test. My old CMT500 carried out test automatically.
Thanks, Ian
