    Hi. Thanks for your replies.

    I was thinking along the same lines as the fluid warning light puts on these lights. However, I have already checked the brake fluid level warning switch. NBV on one wire, earth on the other. I have even bypassed the sensor in case it works the opposite way round (i.e: normally closed instead of open).

    I'm assuming this level sensor goes to the the BSI unit. I am beginning to wonder if, after resolving the sensor issue, the BSI is not correctly configured.
