checked again today definateley 65psi when normal temp.Removed oil filter housing and cooler checked inside the small valve leading to the head and oil light switch is just a none return valve i have blown through with air line and resealed the gasket checked with agents about size of head bolts and definateley got the right ones, removed tappets blown through oil galleries squeezed out buckets immersed in oil and primed, refitted rebuilt, run engine reved at 2to 3 thousand revs tappets started to go quieter, oil pressure as now dropped down at idle to 35 psi and at about 3000 rpm max of 75 psi which seems to be more like normal, but when removing cam cover again 3 tappet blocks hav'nt quite jacked up.Going to start up again in the morning,if these 3 dont jack up i have left some immersed in oil over night and change these, ican pump oil through galleries ok and seem to have plenty oil up over the cam, while running with cam cover off can see oil squirting out around buckets.the feed to the head is thruogh a split in the head gasket which allows oil to seap past the head bolt.double checked on the gasket and it seems to be right thickness and right one.its a lot quieter now but seems to have 2 or 3 tappets a bit noisey, where as when first built was mint.oil is 15/40 semi.
