    Hi John,

    Here's some info from Volvo regarding the vac controlled engine mountings (pads)

    "The front and rear engine pads are hydraulic. The hardness is controlled in two stages, soft and hard, by the engine control module (ECM). The engine pad is hard above approximately 1000 rpm"

    "The solenoid valve for activating the engine pads is a three-way solenoid valve. The engine pads are activated (OFF/ON) depending on engine speed. Normally the valve is active (ON) at idle speed and is then deactivated (OFF) at engine speeds above approximately 1500 rpm.
    ON = Open valve (hard engine pads).
    OFF = Closed valve (soft engine pads)."

    "The valve is powered from the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment and receives a control signal from the engine control module (ECM)."

    Depending on which scantool you are using you should be able to see the solenoid output value for the engine mounts activate as you blip the throttle (well you can on an MTPro).
