hi all had this vehicle in today which has caused a few headaches.vehicle has had a second hand engine fitted by customer who is a plant fitter . on first impressions not a bad job done [original unit oil pump seized]. complaint is poor running off idle un driveable , cannot rev vehicle up even stationary. we have come to the conclusion with the help of mike at atp that we have poor output from the crank/tdc sensor thus causing an ignition misfire . we have checked the output to the ignition amplifier and also at the injector wiring plug using a noid lightand confirmed mistriggering . now the customer has said the vehicle ran fine before the engine change he swapped everything including a new sensor which had been recently changed apart from the flex plate . we cannot see any visual signs of damage in situ but would be grateful if any thoughts or well known common remedies before full strip !!! abit too close to xmas for my liking . sorry for the long winded post and seasons greetings to all ! tia damian
