I managed to do a car with steel wheels yesterday and get that one right.
The measuring heads sit on three rubber cones and with alloy wheels we have been told to situate them right at the joint of the tyre and rim.
With the steel wheel they sit inside the rolled edge of the rim.
I will do battle with some alloy wheel cars next week and see how it goes.
Having got the steel wheel car right it is critical where these rubber cones are sighted (understandably)so I will persevere and try not to beat the machine too hard if I fail again.
