Not had that specific code /system but a couple of points that may help
1) if the fault comes back without driving it is unlikely to be a reluctor ring/ mechanical fault.
2) many of these modern systems shut the circuit down if it detects a fault, this is what i think you are seeing on the scope.
3)I think you may have a sensor fault, if possible you could connect wiring to the known good sensor with suitable jump wires to prove a point.
4) disconnect wires to both good & bad side, check both side with a scope on start up and compare. if both follow same test cycle it would indicate wiring & ECU ok
