Good idea but he is a good customer so I feel I should attempt a fix if possible. Today I put a low amps clamp on the battery and when fault occurs I get a surge of 6 amps so not a huge amount and not enough for a short! Next step was check relay but as usual on modern engineering it's built into the underbonet fuse box!
Going to open it tomorrow and see if I can see anything!
