Year of Manufacture *: 2005
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.6 16v
When the new belt, water pump guides etc have been replace its common practice to turn the engine a couple of times by hand first. sooo
my question is should the tensioner index (the point looking part) should that move about 5mm up and down when the engine is being rotated? all my marks line up afterwards when checked.
Or should the index stay pointing to the notch when the engine is being turned?
my marks are spot on both times but should it have that little bit of play? i thought it should but when doing it following E3 there is no movement.
Your opinions are grateful
Thank you
