Is this a sport as i have got a wiring diagram for the sport if required.

I had a similar fault on a sport which after lots of scoping of the networks with no faults obvious to me [still on a steep learning curve].
With the instrument cluster apart and connected you could twist the cluster board to recreate the fault.

But there are lots of boxes and wiring that can cause your problem. hth.
