if you say you have misfires the pcm should give you a code,
things to think about, what condition are the plugs in ?
is the engine timing off?
is the coil pack bad, this is very common on a ford, do you have a test light ? connect it to battery negative and while the engine is running pull off the plug lead from the coil while holding the tip of the test light just below the boot of the lead.
you should have a nice big spark that will jump out off the coil tower for about 2 cms, minium to the test light do this for every lead.
the spark should look like lightning.
